Kerslash Status Update

Posted by Celshaded - December 10th, 2013

Just a quick status update on the progress of Kerslash.

Work is a necessity, of course.
Getting used to work can be helpful when I'm trying to make my own projects. On one hand, I may get tired too much from work, and be unable to work on my own projects. On the other hand, as soon as there's a break in the work, I would immediately try to make some progress on my own projects.

That may look like a healthy life cycle, but I'd rather prefer less work and more time for my own stuff. Or, if work gets too tough, I need something that would help me keep working even when I'm too tired. Naturally, I thought that staying up at night and sleeping 3 hours a day is the perfect solution for this. Now, when I'm already an insomniac, I realize that I did everything wrong. Instead I must throw all entertainment out of the window, work at work, then come back home, do things that are necessary for me to survive, and work at home, until 7-8 hours remain for bedtime.

I don't have a job yet, I'm studying in university, living in parent's house. I'd like to ask, is my work plan viable? Is it even possible to implement?

Well one thing I didn't mention in that video is that I dont work like that every single day. I try to make time for recreational things, for instance if I know I'm going to be drawing for a lot of the week, I'll plan a "day off". During those times I try to avoid even picking up a pencil. That's really the secret to staying motivated, the days you're supposed to work, you work, but that doesn't mean you have to rob yourself of everything you find entertaining. Balance is the key.

Making Flash videos sounds like simple work I never knew people make advertising money.
I only work 3 times a week and I'm not attending to go too college seems I know I don't have the luxury. While watching your vlog how many hours did it took you make your first Kerslash video. So yeah I also watch your Mad Sonic videos and it was crazy can't wait for more. :D Fan of your work.
